Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals, those looked after by the local authority and the children of armed service personnel. All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received, how this is being used and the impact of provision.
As an inclusive school, we seek to provide equal opportunities to all of our pupils, regardless of their background and individuals needs. The Pupil premium funding allows us to provide additional learning and enrichment opportunities to those pupils who might otherwise miss out. Through our use of Pupil Premium funding, we aim to offer and improve quality first teaching, intervention and other provision, so that the attainment gap is closed between those pupils for whom Pupil Premium funding is offered and other pupils.
